As we said previously, JoJo appeared last week at the lounch from Ultimate Prom. It was there when, in a interview, she talked about the new album, new projects and other stuff. See below the inedit interview:
How do you feel about what is going on?I feel good. I mean, I think it's a brilliant coming together of two major corportations, so obviously there's tons of money to be made, tons of publicity to be out there. Tons of money for JoJo... [Laughs] No, not for me. No money for me. This is all about new artists, new music, and of course, you know my music. Band the backlying major issue is that teens have a major prom. Awsome. The album, first was amazing, third is coming out. Who is working? Umm. I'm writing and producing some of the tracks, but I'm going to Atlanta to work with Polo and I'm also going to work with DJ Tune. And hopefully Jmos, whose a gospel artist, but we're doing some secular stuff, which is going to be really interesting. And I'm working with my music director, whose name is J. Gatsby, and some other pople also. I'm getting in the studio with Tank and Timbaland. Tank is on my label, he's so immensly talented! Is there a single ready, or you guys are just recording yet? Not yet. We just started recording. Finished some stuff in Boston, my hometown, the album is called All I Want Is Everything. How do you feel about success?I feel like to be so young, I've had an incredible journey, and it's just beginning. I learned so much, I'm thankful to have a New England upbringing and to have my mom all a long. What projects are you into? Well, I've a lifetime coming out in the Fall, it's called "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet" and then my album is coming out late 2008. The last Tuesday, April 4, was a busy day for JoJo. She won a Yahoo! Music Award, since her hit Too Little Too Late was played more than 10 million times.
Later, JoJo appeared at the lounch from Ultimate Prom, where she posed for photos with other celebrities who also were at the event. Credits: Joanna-Levesque.org NETWORK: ARTS | GALERIA | MEDIA ... Denzel Washington was the surprise guest at Tuesday’s Universal Motown and Hearst Digital Partnership dinner at the Hearst Theater, and he wasn’t even invited! ![]() “He showed up around 8:30 in jeans and a baseball hat, was quiet and stood in the back,” said our spy. Organizers found a seat for him. Universal Motown president Sylvia Rhone chatted up Washington, while one of the night’s hosts, teen singer JoJo, was overheard saying his presence made her “nervous.” Source: Celebrity Mound JoJo has been a part of the Blackground family for some time now. She hit it big with her song "Leave (Get Out)" off her debut self-titled album in 2004. The track was an international hit and soon became #1 in the US making JoJo, at a mere 13, the youngest solo artist to ever have a #1 single. The album went platinum and JoJo was well on her way to a very bright future. Her 2nd album The High Road didn't quite fair as well but between her split time as a musician and an actor she has become a household name. Now in a recent interview with theLIFE.Files, JoJo (once again) confirms she is working with Timbaland (and Tank, DJ Toomp, and Polow) for her 3rd album coming in late 2008.The Timbaland produced JoJo track "Sho I Can" is sort of an urban myth. It was said to exsist, then thought to be made up, and then rumored to be a part of her last album but was never released. Let me set the record straight, the track 100% exsists, as it is written by Static and produced by Timbaland, but when will we get a chance to hear it? Will we finally get to hear "Sho I Can" on All I Want Is Everything? Only time will tell... It’s about a teen starlet who starts going down the wrong path in Hollywood and is taken away to live undercover with her aunt after a stint in rehab. The catch is that no one can know that’s she really a huge superstar! For the role, JoJo went blonde (well, she wore a wig) for her scenes as the Hollywood starlet. ![]() Fonte: DeBora Rachelle Blog's ![]() PROM Magazine, March 2008 Written by : DeBora Rachelle When, Joanna Levesque (a.k.a JoJo) put out her first major record, the album went platinum. She had more success at age 12, than most recording artists can ever even dream of having. After her star quality acting performance in the box office hit, Aquamarine, her second album was released. The album entitled High Road hit gold. I had the honor of interviewing JoJo while she was staying at the newly built Sheraton Hotel, in Duluth, MN. Having worked with many celebrities and young adults in my fashion designing profession, I thought I knew exactly what I had to look forward to. However, I was pleasantly surprised. JoJo gave me more than what I had anticipated. This young woman (now 17) was extremely confident, well poised, and best of all, an excellent speaker and communicator. She radiated intelligence and an inner strength that only those who will make it big in this highly competitive music and acting industry possess. Finding such charisma in her, I now totally understand why Prom Magazine chose JoJo as the "World's Most Positive Teen Influence". She just has what it takes. JoJo updated her blog on MySpace with a sad post. Yesterday, producer, writer and singer Stephen Garrett, who worked with JoJo on her first and second album, and as we can see by her words, she got really upset. Check out what she said:
STATICHey all, Im about to go to bed, but before I do I wanted to write to you about an immensely talented man who passed away yesterday. Stephen Garrett, aka Static Major, was a writer/producer/artist signed to Blackground Records who wrote many hits for a variety of artists and was a member of the underrated but incredible r&b group, Playa. I had the pleasure of working with him for the first time in 2003, and two songs he wrote for me were on my first album. He was also about to release his solo record and had just serviced his first single to radio. When my mom told me he had died, I was so caught off guard. He was only 32 years old and had SUCH promise not only as a gifted writer, but as an artist. We worked together on a couple songs that didnt make the cut of my last album also, and what I remember of him was someone who had a fun, laid- back disposition, but was madly in love with music. When I listen to the Playa album, his intricate, creative harmonies blow me away. To this day, when a song like "Are You That Somebody?" (by Aaliyah, which Static wrote) comes on, its still undeniably dope. He was innovative, bringing a fresh, sexy approach to everything he wrote and sang. I was truly looking forward to getting another chance to work with him on my upcoming album, and his death comes as a total shock. It reiterates the fact that no one knows when their time on earth is done. Its a difficult reality, but it means that no matter how young or old we are, we have to live and love as much as we can while we're here. Static was an underrated genius who was just getting ready to show his talent on an even bigger scale. I really hope that his album will still be released and that we all get a chance to hear what he had been working on for such a long time. Please pray for his family including his young children and those who were closest to him. Thank you. RIP- Static Sincerely, J << Anterior [ 1 2 3 ] Próximo >> Content Management Powered by CuteNews
